Saturday night we passed through Edmonton, but since I was asleep there's not a damn thing I can tell you about it. Sunday morning we awoke to terrain that was completely different from the mountains the day before: mostly flat with some gently rolling hills, cattle and farmland (although well past harvest time), the occasional copse of trees and bushes, all very plain but with its own stark beauty. Here are some pictures and videos I took during the day.

Looks to me like hay waiting to be baled. I heard someone mention another crop name, but can't remember what it was. This terrain reminds me of what I think the moors in Scotland would look like if I actually knew what the moors in Scotland looked like.
Baled hay awaiting pickup and transport to a barn somewhere nearby. Occasionally there were some nice ponds or lakes, though not so many as we were to see the next day.
A short leg-stretch at Saskatoon--long enough for me to lose my glasses. (If you're at the Saskatoon station anytime soon and find them, don't send them to me. I had cataract surgery this summer (2016) and don't need them anymore.)
